Quiksilver’s Iouri Podladtchikov gets Silver at the Winter X Games Super Pipe Final
Iouri Podladtchikov (Swi), 23, last night added a new medal to his name while taking the Winter X Games Silver Medal in Snowboard Super Pipe final behing Shaun White. This fourth medal at the X Games comes after Silver in Aspen in 2010, Gold in 2010 and Silver in 2011 in Europe and confirms the Russian born Swiss rider's amazing level. With a 93 points out of 100 in the final, Quiksilver's I-Pod is definitely one of the best Half Pipe riders in the world.
Despite missing Gold, Iouri said that although he didn't win, he was satisfied with his performance. "I am really happy actually because I have never put that run down so clean," an exhausted Podladtchikov said following his last run. "I wish I had another run because I was just getting warmed up. It was my personal best run so far but it wasn't enough today."









After he pulled out of The Quiksilver Pro and Peniche events, the surfer from Reunion Island was also forced to withdraw the Pipe Masters where he hoped to defend to defend his title. He still achieved an impressive 13th in the World Ratings despite missing 3 events.
